Review of Crock-Pot eLume Slow Cooker

If you're planning on making my recipe for Hoppin' John tomorrow for New Year's Day brunch, you could do little wrong by making it in Crock-Pot's sleek eLume Slow Cooker. This appliance is one you'll be happy to leave out on your countertop; it's made of shiny stainless steel and has a futuristic-looking touchscreen control panel. But looks aren't everything, you can program the cooking time and, if you sleep later than expected tomorrow, the cooker will automatically shift to the "Keep Warm" setting until you're ready to eat.
