Leftover beef stew and mashed potatoes can create a whole other meal in itself. Shepherd's pie is a traditional British dish which has a meat "filling" and a "crust" made of mashed potatoes. It's an easy, hearty one-pot dish to prepare if you already have the leftovers on hand.

Ingredients:
- 4 to 6 cups beef stew
- 4 cups mashed potatoes
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
Preparation:
- Preheat oven to 350˚F.
- In an 11-by-7- or 9-by-13-inch glass or stoneware baking pan, spread the beef stew in an even layer. Spread the mashed potatoes over the stew in an even layer, smoothing the top. Sprinkle with paprika.
- Bake for 30 to 40 minutes, until the tops of the potatoes just begin to get crusty and the stew is heated through.
