Honey Lime Vinaigrette

This easy and appealing salad dressing recipe combines honey, lime and cumin for an irresistibly refreshing vinaigrette. Toss it simply with mixed greens, drizzle it over grilled asparagus or green beans, or use it as a sauce for fish tacos - the possibilities are endless! A small whisk will do the best job at emulsifying the dressing to achieve a smooth texture.

Yield: 1/2 cup (enough for salad for 4)


  • Juice of 1 lime
  • 1/8 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon honey
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • Salt and pepper
  • 1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil


  1. In a small bowl, combine the lime juice, cumin, honey, mustard and a pinch of salt. Whisk to combine until smooth.

  2. While whisking, drizzle in the olive oil and whisk until the mixture is emulsified. Use immediately, or refrigerate for up to 1 day. Whisk briskly to re-emulsify the vinaigrette before using.
