My Review
This is one of the best cookbooks I've found. It's almost like a novel about food and a cookbook in one. The author gives advice about buying food locally, finding the best food and also gives basic instruction on how to handle different types of vegetables, etc. It's perfect for beginners but I think even fancy pants chefs can get back to basics with this one. It proves that you don't need a ton of skill or a million lavish ingredients to make great meals. For those who like cooking to be more than just an ingredient list and instructions, this book will be one of your faves. It certainly is one of mine!
